A: Yes, race-day registration will open two hours prior to the race.

Q: If I want to race both the 10k and ˝ Marathon, can I race Saturday and Sunday?
A: Yes, you can add the 10k to your ˝ for an extra $15, or the ˝ to your 10k for only $50.

Q: Is there a course cutoff time?

A: No, we do not close the course at any time. We wait for all competitors to complete the race.

Q: Can I walk the event?
A: Yes, however, if you plan to walk any of our 1/2s, we ask that you begin the race 1 hour prior to the official start time. Please notify the announcer at the start/finish area to let us know that you are on-course, and in order to be accurately timed. Note: Aid stations may still be in the process of setting up, so please bring necessary hydration for your first hour on-course.

Q: What type of drinks, food/nutrition will be provided on course?
A: Powerbar Energy Gels will be provided at Miles 8 and 10 on the course. Bananas, cookies, and LaraBars will also be on course. All water stations will consist of Sierra Springs water and Gatorade. We are also providing a Special Needs Water Station, where ˝ Marathon competitors can bring their choice of training beverage to us, and we will have it waiting on the course between miles 8 and 11.

Q: Can I run with my dog?
A: No, we apologize but runners are not permitted to run with dogs, even leashed dogs. Due to the terrain, the number of runners, and the added complications, dogs are not permitted to run any of the trail races.
(Because Cherry Creek State Park is allowing us to use ‘restricted areas’ for you to experience a phenomenal running course they ask we do not allow pets on the course.)

Q: Can I wear my iPod?
A: We would prefer that you do not wear an iPod during the race. The narrowness of many of the paths makes it possibly dangerous to runners who cannot hear if they are being passed, other participants are trying to get their attention, etc. We just want to make sure that everyone is safe out on the course

Q: Should I wear trail or road shoes?
A: We suggest using trail shoes, due to the sometimes tough trails, the possibility of mud, and trail shoes’ advantages on gravel—but by no means are they necessary.

Q: Is there prize money?
A: No, there is not any prize money for this race. Though the winners will be awarded with respective prizes from our sponsors.

Q: Is this a USATF certified course?
A: No, due to the complexity of trail races and making the course perfectly accurate, we are not a certified course.

Q: Are there age group awards? A: Yes! We will be awarding prizes to the top 3 finisher of each category. Good Luck!
